Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Support and coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Manage onboarding so new hires feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to Branches’ mission and culture.
  • Assist with offboarding to create a smooth transition journey for departing team members.
  • Be the first point of contact for HR questions, providing compassionate, professional, and timely support.
  • Partner with people leaders to address team member needs with fairness and alignment to Branches’ way.
  • Support employee engagement, well-being, and recognition initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, and ongoing communication.
  • Support workers’ compensation claims and processes with care, seeing that team members receive the required guidance and resources.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and provide clear communication about benefit options.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and support required reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with Branches’ standards.
  • Assist in updating and sharing HR programs in a way that is accessible and understood.
  • Provide logistical support for the professional development calendar.
  • Assist in delivering People Leaders training and team development sessions.

Key Measures of Success

  • Team records are accurate, complete, and compliant; benefits changes are processed on time.
  • New hire surveys reflect high satisfaction with onboarding; HR inquiries are resolved promptly with a people-first approach.
  • HR Programs and cyclical processes are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates continuous self-improvement in HR knowledge and skills through training and mentorship; takes on increasing responsibility with competence.
  • Decisions and interactions consistently reflect Branches’ mission and values, with people kept at the heart of every interaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Graduating students or recent graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Previous HR experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn and grow is essential.
  • Familiarity with HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office tools is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Above all: brings grit, curiosity, and a people-first mindset.

Reliable transportation is essential to support this work.
