The Lead Inventory Coordinator oversees the daily inventory control operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role leads the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels, organizing materials flow, and supporting production and purchasing functions. The Lead Inventory Coordinator is responsible for driving continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, implementing best practices, and coordinating with cross-functional departments to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control activities, including receiving, issuing, transferring, and returning materials.
- Lead and train inventory team members on inventory management procedures, system transactions, and best practices.
- Conduct and oversee cycle counts, spot checks, and full physical inventory counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system (e.g., Quantum, SAP, or equivalent), ensuring all transactions are documented in real-time.
- Review and monitor min/max levels, safety stock, and reorder points to support purchasing and production planning.
- Collaborate with the Receiving, Shipping, and Production departments to ensure smooth material flow and prevent shortages or overstock.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of all materials and finished goods in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain compliance with FAA, AS9100, and internal quality standards for traceability and material control.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to inventory control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and optimize warehouse efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related issues and provide guidance to team members on problem resolution.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Quantum ERP experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, materials management, and stock accuracy processes.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools.
- Knowledge of FAA, AS9100, or similar quality standards preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The role may require standing for extended periods, handling materials, and occasional overtime or weekend work to support inventory deadlines or audits.
