Location: South Florida (Remote/Hybrid Options Available)

Position Type: 1099 position with a minimum monthly guarantee (after probationary period)

Job Summary:
As a part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of mortgage loans. You will work closely with borrowers, underwriters, referral partners and other key stakeholders to ensure all necessary documentation is collected, verified, and processed and all parties and systems of record are kept up to date. You will need to be well-versed in loan guidelines, specifically those for Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM products, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process residential mortgage loan applications for Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM products, ensuring compliance with all underwriting guidelines.
Review and verify loan documents, including credit reports, income statements, tax returns, and other required financial documents.
Communicate with borrowers to gather missing documentation, clarify loan details, and keep them updated on the progress of their loan applications.
Facilitate loan submissions and ensure timely approval.
Coordinate with underwriting, closing, and compliance departments to ensure smooth loan processing and timely closings.
Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain detailed records of loan progress, as well as date and data tracking in our systems of record.
Review and verify loan files for accuracy and completeness before submitting to underwriting.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays in the loan process.
Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, real estate agents, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

NMLS Licensed (Active and in good standing).
Experience with Wholesale Lenders and the loan submission process.
Deep understanding of loan guidelines for Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM loan products.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing loan applications, updating systems of record and verifying documentation.
Strong recall and memory for loan guidelines, borrower-specific information, and prior loan files.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues throughout the loan processing cycle, including troubleshooting documentation discrepancies, addressing underwriting concerns, and finding effective solutions to ensure timely loan closings. Demonstrates critical thinking and resourcefulness when dealing with challenging situations or unexpected obstacles.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with borrowers, lenders, underwriters, and other team members.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
Self-Starter: Proactively manages tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative in identifying and addressing client needs and workflow improvements. Consistently takes ownership of responsibilities and ensures efficient processing of loan applications.
Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required.
Local to South Florida is a plus, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in loan processing, particularly with wholesale lenders.
Familiarity with loan processing software and systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple loan files simultaneously.
LendingPad and Salesforce experience are a plus
