G&C Foods Distributors is a redistributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across the Eastern United States, The Caribbean, and Latin America.
In recent years, G&C Foods has grown to be one of the most respected redistributors in the United States. We are rapidly expanding all areas of our organization, including our international space.
GC Foods is currently looking for an innovative and dynamic leader that can fill the position of International Account Executive located in our Miami, FL office. This position will report directly to our Director of International Sales .
This is a fully onsite position located in our Miami, Florida office.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary:
Our International Account Executives are the face of G&C! The International Account Executive will be responsible for servicing the needs and fostering the relationship between G&C Foods and the assigned/prospective client base by presenting and executing sales and service opportunities that will help maximize profitability and communicating effectively both internally and externally to G&C Departments and G&C Clients.
Essential Functions:
- Servicing the needs and fostering the relationship between G&C Foods and the assigned/prospective client base.
- Interact with people all over the globe on a daily basis.
- Maximize profitability and penetration of product categories/lines in every account by leveraging G&C tools and resources which include but not limited to: Sales Reporting, Market Trends, Daily/Weekly Pricing etc.
- Familiarize themselves with international variances in cultural and legal issues as pertaining to sales in different countries around the globe.
- Engage with all G&C Departments to service the needs of the G&C client.
- Work closely with our international logistics department in order to satisfy customers' needs and timelines.
- Prospecting new customers by cold calling potential clients and following up on assigned leads within a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining gross profit and tonnage for an assigned account base.
- Assist operations team with information for transportation movement to meet desired shipment schedules and avoid unnecessary cost.
- Preparedness to host/join virtual/in-person meetings and conferences with Clients, Suppliers, and others.
- Encourage creatively and risk-taking.
- Travel to destination countries 15%-20% of the time or less to visit customers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree or related experience preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Speak, read, and write English fluently. Fluency in a second language, especially Spanish, or Portuguese is preferred.
- 3-5 Years of retail or foodservice experience required.
- 1-3 years of international Sales experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and Written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be able to handle customer contact, being comfortable interacting with all types of people and different situations.
- Knowledge of the food industry, specifically meat products a plus.
- Computers skills with a strong background in Excel and Microsoft required.
