Community Health and Outreach Educator – Make an Impact!

Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking a dedicated Community Health and Outreach Educator to join our Education team in Palm Beach County. This is a hybrid role, and candidates must reside in Palm Beach County. You will play a critical role in advancing comprehensive health education and outreach while building partnerships to support our mission and strategic goals.

Snapshot of key accountabilities of the Community Health and Outreach Educator:

Deliver age-appropriate, medically accurate sexual and reproductive health education for youth and adults in virtual, school, community, and agency settings.

Facilitate evidence-based curricula, including youth, peer education, and adult programs.

Recruit youth and adults for education programs, including peer education cohorts and caregiver workshops.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with community-based organizations to promote education services and expand access to health resources.

Actively recruit, train, and support peer educators and interns, fostering youth leadership and advocacy development.

Collect, track, and report program participation and demographic data in alignment with grant or departmental guidelines.

Contribute to curriculum development, community engagement, and program evaluation.

Represent Planned Parenthood at coalitions, community events, health fairs, and other outreach opportunities.

Maintain organized employee and student records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Experience/Education of the Community Health and Outreach Educator:

At least 2 years of experience delivering educational programs, ideally in sexual health, youth engagement, or community education.

Demonstrated skills in recruitment, facilitation, and youth development.

Experience working with individuals from diverse populations and backgrounds.

Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage priorities independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and other virtual presentation platforms.

A degree in a relevant field or comparable professional experience.

Must have a strong understanding of and personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and responsibilities of Planned Parenthood.

Must reside in Palm Beach County to perform community-based work effectively.

Benefits and Compensation:

Starting salary: $48,000, commensurate with experience.

Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days from your hire date.

Paid Time Off accrues immediately but cannot be used until after 90 full days of employment.

Flexible hybrid work schedule with occasional evenings or weekends to meet program and community needs.
