We have an exciting opportunity for an SBOM Specialist (Shipping Bill of Materials). This position is responsible for verifying that suppliers are shipping all materials within an order. Knowledge of documentation including and not limited to Purchase Orders, Specifications, Drawings, etc. Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and Team Members to prevent Liquidated Damages (LD’s) and or back charges created at the job site when vendor equipment arrives at the project site and then inventoried and prevent Overage, Shortage & Damage (OS&D’s) reports issued.
- Valid driver’s license
- US citizenship required due to export controls
- 1 year contract assignment / 8-5pm onsite
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a technical background (mechanical and electrical parts and equipment for manufacturing or heavy industrial industries).
- Review documents before shipments are sent out
- Working with blueprints
- Ability to interpret 90% of mechanical drawings, piping and electrical drawing for comparison on SBOM components to ensure materials are shipped correctly
- Strong communication skills - Communication with Engineering, Supplier, Global Sourcing, Logistics, and Construction Technical Field Advisors
- Detail oriented, needs to be able to cross reference items, liaison to resolve problems with quality inspectors nationwide
- MS Word, Excel (formulas, modifications, filter, etc), Adobe Acrobat-PDF (needs to know how to manipulate it)
