What Makes a McKibbon Hospitality General J1 Associate?
The Hospitality General J1 Associate will gain comprehensive experience by rotating through multiple departments within the hotel. This role includes both front-of-house responsibilities—directly engaging with guests—and back-of-house operations in the food and beverage, housekeeping, and laundry departments. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a welcoming and professional demeanor, committed to delivering excellent guest service. Success in this role involves anticipating and addressing guest needs efficiently while upholding the McKibbon Guiding Principles.
A Day in the Life:
- You will anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests in a timely manner.
- You will maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- You will resolve guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
- You will train with and learn Food and Beverage operations.
- You will learn the housekeeping and laundry roles and assist as needed based on occupancy.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired)
- Proficiency with computers
- The ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to clients, guests, and associates.
