Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Venice, Florida. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a wholesale distribution company. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, and supporting automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Code and process invoices in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with suppliers to streamline payment processes and ensure data accuracy.
• Utilize Sage X3 and Excel to monitor financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Support the implementation of automated payment systems by assisting with data updates and outreach.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and assist with audits as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve payment-related issues.
• Provide regular updates on the progress of automation initiatives and supplier transitions.• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and invoice coding.
• Proficiency in Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with financial automation systems is a plus.
• Prior experience in wholesale distribution or related industries is preferred.
