Line Cook Breakfast/Lunch Caf
Our client is looking for an experienced Line Cook to support breakfast and lunch service in a fast-paced caf setting. This role requires strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and consistent adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items following caf standards.
- Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and food quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment (flat-top, grill, fryer, oven, toaster) safely and efficiently.
- Set up and stock stations before service.
- Assist with prep, inventory, and restocking.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support smooth service flow.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of line cook or short-order experience; breakfast/lunch preferred.
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food safety/sanitation.
- Ability to follow recipes, multitask, and work under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work full scheduled shifts.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to open and close the kitchen.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Food Handlers Certification.
Schedule:
7:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m., 67 days per week, including weekends.
