- Verify HR-reported work hours, reconcile timesheets, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Submit approved hours to our payroll company on scheduled pay cycles.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns for all applicable jurisdictions, ensuring timely submittal and payment.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and clearing any outstanding items.
- Maintain and track compliance licenses and permits for FDA, DOT, and OSHA, including renewals, filings, and audits.
- Manage the general ledger and produce monthly profit and loss statements, supporting financial close processes.
- Calculate sales commissions based on agreed schedules and communicate results to sales leadership.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated industry.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Solid understanding of payroll workflows, sales tax regulations, and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
