The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance, organization, and customer experience of the branch. This role oversees facility operations, inventory accuracy, and personnel development while ensuring customers receive exceptional service and support. The Branch Manager drives sales growth by cultivating existing accounts, prospecting new business opportunities, and promoting products and services that align with company goals and core values.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee all branch operations, including facility management, inventory control, receiving, and credit processing.
- Ensure branch staff are properly trained, performing effectively, and meeting role expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom and warehouse.
- Manage delivery routes, warranty, and non-warranty order processing.
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
- Cultivate relationships with existing customers and proactively call on assigned and house accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and local market awareness.
- Promote new and add-on products to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Participate in ongoing product and vendor training to maintain up-to-date technical and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers and Factory Sales Representatives to ensure customer needs are met and opportunities are maximized.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, not required.
Minimum Experience: 3+ years' experience in branch operations management. Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or HVAC distribution is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Proficiency using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of HVAC system and products is an advantage
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Safety Summary
Working Conditions:
Work is normally performed in an office or warehouse environment with limited exposure to physical risk. The warehouse environment may be subject to temperature fluctuations and exposure to dust or packaging materials, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Speaking, listening, writing, and typing
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time
- Walking on concrete surfaces
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds
- Climbing stairs and ladders occasionally
- The ability to drive day and night
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jack, hand trucks, and carts
