We are looking for a highly motivated individual with member service experience for a busy health claims department in our Pines location. The ideal candidate will be creative, observant and very attentive to detail. Excellent communication, computer and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to dig in and work alongside the other members of the department are critical.
The department processes a variety of claims, including medical, dental, life, short-term disability and vision claims. The Member Service Representatives handles a high volume of phone calls for inquiries such as eligibility and benefits, claim status and coverage questions.
We are looking for someone who is organized, diligent, responsive, takes initiative, works well independently, maintains a positive attitude and strives to maintain the company's culture.
POSITION PURPOSE: To assist members and providers with eligibility, benefit and claim questions pertaining to their Health and Welfare plan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Customer Service Responsibilities
- • Answer phone calls for benefits and claims, including medical, dental, vision and short term disability benefits and claims
- • Handle phone and online inquiries such as insurance eligibility and benefits, claim status and coverage questions
- • Respond to messages timely with appropriate information for the providers and members
- • Data entry of benefit and claim forms and release claims daily
- • Additional departmental needs as required.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
High School Diploma
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Medical Terminology Experience
- Ability to read and understand insurance benefits
