Position Summary

The Sales Manager – Traditional Sales Channel is responsible for driving revenue and market share growth within WAI Global’s Electrical Rebuilder and Non-Automotive customer segment. This role will focus on managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning WAI as the preferred partner for rotating electrical and related component solutions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Operations

  • Manage and grow relationships with electrical rebuilders and non-automotive accounts across North America.
  • Train, develop, and mentor account managers.
  • Achieve sales targets by developing strategic account plans and executing customer-focused initiatives.
  • Understand the unique needs of the rebuilder and non-automotive industry, including product applications, market trends, and remanufacturing process where applicable.
  • Promote WAI’s rotating electrical products (starters, alternators, components) and related offerings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within diverse market segments such as Rebuilder, Marine, Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment, and Agriculture.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to communicate customer needs and influence product development.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and market intelligence.
  • Represent WAI at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, programs, and contracts.
  • Work cross-functionally with customer service, logistics, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills Required)

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the automotive or non-automotive market, preferably with exposure to rotating electrical products.
  • Direct experience or deep familiarity with rotating electrical strongly preferred.
  • Proven success in managing B2B accounts and developing new business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
