Position: Head of Service Delivery - Hybrid (Scottsdale, Arizona; Atlanta, Georgia; Richmond, Virginia; or Orlando, Florida)
Function:
The Ategrity Service Delivery Center plays a critical role in driving operational excellence across the underwriting lifecycle, from submission intake through post-bind servicing. The function ensures seamless execution of scalable, innovative, and partner-centric services. With a commitment to speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, the team designs and delivers efficient workflows that support the quote, bind, and issue process.
This team is also charged with identifying and implementing automation, AI tools, and digital workflows to improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience. As Ategrity continues to grow, Service Delivery will remain a cornerstone of underwriting support and innovation.
Role Overview:
This high-impact leadership role is ideal for a forward-thinking insurance expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces innovation. The Head of Service and Delivery is responsible for developing and optimizing end-to-end underwriting operations while championing a culture of continuous improvement, digital transformation, and customer-centric thinking.
Reporting to the SVP, Head of Operations, this individual will build scalable processes, leverage automation and AI, and foster strong cross-functional relationships to meet evolving partner needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a dynamic and growing E&S carrier.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Innovation
- Lead the design, execution, and continual optimization of underwriting support processes using AI, automation, and workflow technology.
- Partner with underwriting to identify pain points, co-create solutions, and implement standardized, scalable processes that improve speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that improve productivity, data capture, and customer experience.
- Own service delivery KPIs and ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective service that exceeds partner expectations.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks, process gaps, and inefficiencies. Lead efforts to re-engineer workflows with a Lean mindset.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide vision, structure, and direction to the Service Delivery team; inspire and empower staff to operate with excellence and innovation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and results-orientation across the function.
- Mentor and develop Underwriting Analysts and associates, aligning individual development goals with organizational strategy.
- Represent the function within the broader Underwriting Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning, operating model enhancements, and cultural leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of underwriting or P&C insurance experience, preferably with an E&S carrier.
- Proven experience leading call center and/or operational teams with a focus on automation, workflow redesign, and scalable process improvement.
- Strong understanding of underwriting workflows and technology platforms; familiarity with digital transformation tools, AI applications, or intelligent automation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage through change, and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or process design a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Initially remote, this position will move to a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.
