A leading Florida commercial elevator design, remodeling & manufacturing firm is seeking a highly organized and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Vasile Elevator Inc. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized shipping and receiving process. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including cleaning the shop facility, managing hardware inventory, building crates for shipments, assisting different departments of the shop, and handling tools.
Responsibilities/Functions
Clean the shop facility regularly to ensure a safe and organized working environment.
Construct crates and packaging materials for shipments, ensuring that they meet the required standards for safe transportation.
Assist various departments within the shop with tasks as needed, providing support and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Operate a forklift to move and transport materials safely and efficiently.
Demonstrate proficiency in handling various tools, equipment, and machinery.
Make deliveries/pick ups
Keep Inventory Current
Skills & Experience High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Experience in shipping and receiving or a related field is preferred.
Experience operating a forklift is required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using basic computer applications, such as MS Office.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects minimum of 50lbs..
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Additional Information
Hours
7am 5:30pm, Mon Thu (excluding federal holidays).
Compensation/Benefits
