Experienced bookkeeper desired for the Financial office in a private school that educates children with Autism. The right candidate must be able to be effective in an environment that can be loud and chaotic.
The ability to have a global vision, work directly with the Financial Director and the Executive Director, follow established policies and procedures, be trainable and have excellent computer skills are necessary.
Reports to the Financial Director. New hire is on a 90-day probationary basis.
Experience required.

• Administrative tasks
Our multi-company environment requires a Financial Liaison with excellent bookkeeping skills and significant experience with QuickBooks Online for Non-Profits, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Zoom. Must possess a high level of precision, be able to prioritize and multitask with attention to detail and be able to work independently. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills, and math skills are required.
Qualifications include:
• High level of precision and accuracy
• Proven experience with QuickBooks Online for Non-Profits including payroll
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently onsite
• Knowledge of State of Florida Scholarship Programs a plus
• High level of discretion and confidentiality is a must
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online for Non-Profits
• Process bi-monthly payroll for all companies• Reconcile bank statements and generate monthly financial reports
• Process accounts receivable and payable for all companies
• Handle administrative tasks, including email management and follow-ups
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Assist with enrollment & re-enrollment process of students via Tuition & Fees
agreements with parents, and ensure all documentation is current and accurate
• Manage bookkeeping of special events such as fundraising, field trips, graduation
• Oversee collection of tuition and daycare payments
• Assist Financial Director with auditing student accounts, annual budgeting & tax reporting
• Oversee and assist Financial Director & Executive Director with 3rd Party annual audit as required by Florida Department of Education
• Work with Student Services Director to receive and apply scholarship payments to student accounts.
