JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that an organization's human resources policies and practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This position involves monitoring compliance programs, conducting regular audits, and providing training to staff on compliance issues. The HR Compliance Coordinator collaborates closely with the HR department and management to address any compliance concerns promptly and effectively, thereby mitigating potential risks and fostering a culture of ethical and lawful behavior within the organization. The role requires keen attention to detail and an understanding of HR regulations and best practices.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Conduct regular audits of HR policies and procedures
- Update and maintain employee records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist in the development and revision of HR policies
- Address compliance-related inquiries and concerns from employees
- Track and report on compliance-related metrics and performance indicators
- Stay up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compliance matters
- Assist in the management of employee relations matters to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Manage LOA processes, documentation, and communication
- HRIS systems implementation and maintenance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR compliance or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct thorough audits and prepare detailed reports
- Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience with internal investigations and recommending corrective actions
- Capacity to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- English and Spanish Bilingual

Physical Demands
This position is considered to be mostly sedentary and will require the employee to sit for extended periods of time. It will also require the employee to occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. They may engage in bending, stretching, reaching, and other motions in the course of a working day. They will be engaged in using office equipment and computers. They may engage in lifting supplies and materials up to 20 pounds from time to time. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
Working Conditions
This job is located primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
