Job Title: Purchasing Inventory Clerk

As our ideal candidate, you'll bring your expertise to bear on maintaining accurate stock levels, processing purchase orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the production process. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to quality will be essential in inspecting incoming shipments and maintaining meticulous records.

Job Responsibilities for Purchasing Inventory Clerk
• Process purchase orders, negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
• Research and evaluate new materials and vendors to optimize procurement
• Manage freight logistics, including rate negotiations and shipment tracking
• Physically handle and organize inventory in the stockroom
• Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels
• Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy
• Report non-compliant items to vendors and maintain detailed transaction records
• Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments
• Collaborate with engineering, accounting, production, and quality control teams
• Actively participate in maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom

Skills Required of Purchasing Inventory Clerk:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems (e.g., SAGE)
• Familiarity with online marketplaces such as Amazon
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Experience with mechanical/electrical components (preferred)
• Adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills
