ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Job Summary: This position coordinates the visitation between parents and children occurs consistently. The Visitation Specialist performs as a member of the Service Coordination team to meet the needs of children and families.

- Fulfills established federal and state mandates and Florida Statute, Chapter 39, ChildNet’s System of Care, policies, and procedures by:
- Schedule and supervise weekly family visitations for cases within the visitation program.
- Schedule and supervise 72-hour visits for new cases following initial shelter hearings.
- Complete visitation reports; ensure distribution of visitation reports to case management and the system of record (FSFN).
- Maintain tracking log for the visitation program for assigned cases.
- Supervise interns supporting the visitation program as defined by school internship requirements and program requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills / Requirements:
Years of Experience:
- Two (2) years of post-graduate experience in Social Services working in Child Welfare
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- Master’s degree in social work
- Case Worker Certification
