The Assistant Branch Manager will assist and support the Branch Manager with daily front-line retail operations of the branch. Ensure efficient, courteous, and professional customer service. Promote a positive and team-first environment. Partner with the Branch Manager in the generation of deposits and other bank initiatives. Participate in events to increase the Bank’s visibility and drive growth. The employee is to provide a positive, enthusiastic, and exceptional customer experience while adhering to and exhibiting First Port City Bank’s “Core Values”: Positive, Professional, and Productive. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and coordinates scheduling for Personal Bankers, Lead Teller, Tellers (Level 1 – Level 3), and Community Banking Support Specialist (if applicable) in daily tasks and operations while coordinating with the Branch Manager. Supports the Branch Manager in the preparation of performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists the manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
· Oversees retail services, especially customer service, to ensure excellence; contacts or assists customers and prospective customers.
· Reviews and manages staffing procedures, ensuring that staff assignments and responsibilities are reasonable, making recommendations to the branch manager.
· Coaching and motivating staff to continue developing a universal skill set within the department.
· Assist with the coordination of open/effective communication with branch staff.
· Works to meet branch performance standards, including operating loss control, training, bank secrecy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
· Reinforce and implement FPCB service standards through training, development, motivation, and coaching of branch staff.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintains and tests alarms and other security devices.
· Assist FPCB clientele with customer service needs, including, but not limited to: opening new accounts, domestic and international wire requests, account research, product inquiries, etc.
· Assists with the training process for new hires, as needed.
· Identify and convey additional training needs to the branch manager.
· Oversees and assists with the preparation of branch reports, as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned, including coverage on the teller line as needed.
· Assumes the role of Manager in their absence.
