Job DescriptionBGPL USA Inc., founded in 2010 in Miami, Florida, is the exclusive U.S. importer and distributor for the portfolio of wines from its parent company, Barton & Guestier France (B&G France), part of the renowned Castel Group. Our portfolio includes prestigious wine houses and brands such as Barton & Guestier, Veuve du Vernay, Patriarche, Listel and Champagne Malard. Our mission is to grow these iconic French brands in the U.S. market by expanding distribution, strengthening distributor relationships, and delivering well-executed marketing strategies.INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to support our accounting team in performing part of the cycles of Accounts Payable, Receivables and other monthly, quarterly and yearly closing tasks. This internship is to work closely with a CPA and gain working skills for the future of the intern.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Accounting
- Assist Accounts payable by entering Domestic and International Bills into QuickBooks
- Assist Accounts Payable with the related analysis and spreadsheets
- Assist Accounts Receivable with collection and entries into QuickBooks
- Assist Accounts Receivable with the analysis and spreadsheets
- Assist with analysis and determination of Accruals
- Assist with Credit card analysis
Additionally§ Other tasks that can be needed while the accounting team is implementing new software
§ Help with Quarterly Budget
§ Other tasks that may arise when the intern shows the ability to learn more
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum two years of studies in accounting field (no marketing, no management)
- Strong analytical and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge in QuickBooks preferred
- Attention to detail, analytical and proactive
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- French language skills a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Always available in person during work hours. No remote.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have social security and be able to work in the United States as Internship
- Must be able to sit for long periods
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery employing repetitive arm and wrist motions, such as a computer and phone.
INTERNSHIP BASICS
- Location: in person – 12550 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami, FL.
- Employment Type: Internship
- Duration: 6 months to 1 year. Minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Stipend: $15.00 per hour.
- Reports to: Senior Accountant
