Job Summary
Canteen, a member of Compass Group, is the nation’s leading provider of unattended retail and foodservice solutions. With a strong presence in Florida, we’re looking for a Strategic Regional Sales Director to join our team and drive growth in South Florida.
Position Overview:
As a Strategic Seller, you will play a critical role in securing new business in high-value sectors, including healthcare, higher education, large-scale facilities, and carry-in dining. You’ll lead consultative sales efforts, shape service strategies, and proactively engage with key stakeholders, often getting in front of RFPs before they are released by building strong coalitions and strategic relationships across the region.
This is a highly visible, high-impact role suited for an experienced, relationship-driven sales professional who is comfortable managing long sales cycles, influencing executive-level decision-makers, and developing tailored, client-specific solutions that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full strategic sales process from prospecting to close for dining, vending, and micro-market opportunities
- Identify and qualify high-value targets within healthcare, higher education, Fortune 1000 corporations, and industrial sectors
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite and senior decision makers
- Proactively cultivate relationships to position Canteen ahead of formal bid releases and influence project scope early
- Manage and navigate complex, long sales cycles that require persistence, strategy, and attention to detail
- Coordinate internal teams to develop and present RFP responses and customized solutions
- Collaborate closely with operations to ensure successful implementation and long-term client satisfaction
- Deliver annual revenue targets, maintain forecasting accuracy, and use CRM tools to track pipeline activity
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and emerging trends to stay ahead of the curve
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in foodservice, hospitality, or facilities management
- Proven track record of success in strategic, consultative selling environments
- Demonstrated experience managing long, complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals
- Ability to build trust and influence decisions within large, matrixed organizations
- Strong negotiation skills and experience leading competitive RFP processes
- Excellent communication, time management, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling break room services, including but not limited to vending, micro-market, office coffee and carry-in dining
- Knowledge of and connections within the South Florida market
- Established network in healthcare, higher education, and commercial real estate sectors
