Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, NetSuite Optimization position will focus on the operational excellence and process optimization of CPA’s
NetSuite modules. This position requires a strong background in Business, Finance, or Accounting and will report to the Director, Operational Excellence and Process Improvement. The successful candidate will work directly with end users to identify process improvement opportunities, increase adoption of NetSuite features, and ensure effective use of dashboards, reporting tools, and standard workflows. This role requires close collaboration with the internal IT team by clearly communicating business requirements and enhancement requests.
Essential Functions
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to identify inefficiencies in current NetSuite usage and propose process improvements.
- Facilitate discovery sessions with business users to gather needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Design and enhance SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, saved searches, KPIs, and dashboards to support decision-making and transparency.
- Increase user adoption by promoting better use of existing NetSuite features (e.g., workflows, reporting, reminders, navigation tips).
- Act as a liaison between business users and the internal IT team, translating business requirements into clear, actionable requests for system configuration, scripting, or integration support.
- Assist in documenting new processes, training users, and creating self-service guides and SOPs.
- Track new NetSuite releases and recommend relevant features for adoption by business teams.
- Keep record of active saved searches, reports and financial statements, and ensure that any changes to the system reflect accurately on them.
- Collaborate with IT to support issue resolution, role management, and testing of system enhancements—without directly performing technical tasks.
- During emergency conditions, all CPA employees are automatically considered essential employees and may be subject to recall. These events may include, but are not limited to, natural, man-made, or public health emergencies. Employees may be expected to perform emergency and/or recovery operations outside of their normal assigned responsibilities and routine working hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or other related field.
- NetSuite certification (e.g., SuiteFoundation, Financial User, Administrator) preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience using or supporting NetSuite in a finance/accounting context.
- Strong understanding of accounting workflows, including GL, AP, AR, month-end close, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient organizational skills – task prioritization, effective time management, meeting facilitation, stakeholder analysis, and risk identification and mitigation.
- Proven ability to improve business processes and increase efficiency using NetSuite tools and features.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with both business users and technical teams.
- Experience gathering requirements and preparing documentation for system improvements or change requests.
- Passion for and ability to understand customer needs.
Preferred Standards:
- Familiarity with SuiteAnalytics, saved searches, KPIs, dashboards, and workflow automation (non-technical use).
- Knowledge of modules such as Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), Inventory, Sales orders, NetSuite Schema, Custom Fields and Custom Records, Fixed Assets.
- Exposure to AI tools and technologies
- Prior experience working in a cross-functional role involving Finance and IT collaboration.
- Ability to facilitate working meetings (engage with good questions, active listening) to ensure productive outcomes.
- Comfortable facilitating and leading training sessions and producing end-user documentation.
- Experience in a growing organization or ERP optimization project is a plus.
Licenses / Certification Required:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
- Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
Physical Requirement:
- Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work
- May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (20-30 lbs.)
Environmental Requirements:
- Office Environment usually
- Occasional work outdoors when reviewing projects.
