Job Summary

Skyway Fire Protection is seeking dependable and motivated Fire Sprinkler Helpers to support commercial construction projects. Helpers will assist foremen and lead fitters with the installation, modification, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. This position is ideal for individuals who are hardworking, safety-focused, and eager to learn a skilled trade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead fitters and foremen with commercial fire sprinkler installation
  • Measure, cut, and prepare pipe and fittings
  • Carry, load, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
  • Handle pipes, fittings, and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Work on ladders, lifts, and occasionally in tight or elevated spaces
  • Stand, bend, kneel, and work on feet for extended periods
  • Follow instructions accurately and ask questions when needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Wear required PPE at all times (hard hat, gloves, boots, safety glasses)

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Regularly lift and carry 50–75 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Willing to travel for out-of-state and night-shift work

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Basic hand tools (as required for the role)
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the trade
  • Ability to pass a drug screening

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Previous construction or fire sprinkler experience
  • Familiarity with commercial construction environments
