We are seeking a reliable and energetic full-time Transfer Driver. The Transfer Driver's responsibilities include driving a company delivery vehicle to transport merchandise between the warehouse and the company stores as well as loading and unloading merchandise.
A CDL is NOT required for this position. License MUST be approved by insurance. Come be part of the growing team! We are currently offering a $250 hiring bonus for this position.
To be considered, MUST have previous delivery driving experience, a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, and a BACKGROUND clear of ALL CRIMINAL ACTIVITY.
What You’ll Do:
- Load, secure, and protect the merchandise in the delivery vehicle and safely transport merchandise
- Unload merchandise from delivery vehicle and perform basic assembly of merchandise
- Assist with merchandise set up on the showroom floor
- Notify the warehouse manager or immediate supervisor immediately of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or damaged items
- Maintain compliance with the company’s driver qualification policy
- Abide by all transportation laws
- Comply with all company delivery vehicle safety standards and documentation
- Conduct daily inspection of assigned delivery vehicle to ensure safety and maintenance guidelines are met
- Maintain a clean delivery vehicle, inside the cabin and the back of the delivery vehicle
- Assist in keeping the inside and outside warehouse surroundings free of debris on a daily basis
- Serve as a backup for the Furniture Delivery Driver
