Safely transports patients to/from healthcare appointments.
Drive patients (seniors, Medicaid recipients, individuals with impairments) to/from homes, hospitals, clinics, and appointments.
Assist passengers on/off vehicles, secure wheelchairs, and ensure passenger comfort and safety.
Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and report maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and incident reports.
Adhere to all traffic laws, HIPAA regulations, and company policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-65 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.
- Skills: Strong communication, time management, and ability to use GPS/radio equipment.
- Experience: Previous experience in medical transport, patient care, or professional driving is often preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with safety protocols for transporting patients with special needs.
