Job DescriptionSalary:

Job Purpose: The Donor Marketing & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to strengthen donor engagement and communicate the impact of the organizations mission. This role manages all donor-facing marketing platforms and campaigns, coordinates with the development team on fundraising initiatives, and supports community outreach with businesses and networking partners. Event planning and data management are also key components of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Donor Marketing & Communication

  • Create and implement marketing strategies to engage current donors and attract new ones.
  • Manage the donor-facing website, keeping content up-to-date, donor-centric, and SEO-optimized.
  • Oversee donor-facing social media platforms and email campaigns, sharing impact stories, event updates, and giving opportunities.
  • Design brochures, appeals, newsletters, and event materials that align with the brand and mission.
  • Maintain and manage donor journeys, campaigns, and segmentation within Virtuous CRM.
  • Assist in building strong relationships with donors that inspire deeper involvement, whether through time or resources, creating a sense of shared purpose.

Community Engagement (Donor-Focused)

  • Represent the organization at community events, business expos, or luncheons to increase awareness and support.
  • Track community outreach efforts and maintain an updated list of connections and follow-ups.

Event Planning & Record Keeping

  • Assist in planning and promoting donor events, fundraising campaigns, and community gatherings.
  • Capture photos, videos, and metrics from events to be used in follow-up communications.
  • Record and analyze marketing data to measure ROI and campaign effectiveness.
  • Maintain an organized marketing calendar and assist with department reporting needs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and upholds the organizations mission and values.
  • Experience in donor marketing, fundraising communications, or nonprofit development.
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills with a heart for sharing impact.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing, Canva, and CRM systems (Virtuous preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially around record-keeping and reporting.
  • Experience with event planning or support is a plus.
  • A bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
