Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our busy management office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the associations we serve by accurately recording all financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling monthly financials, and ensuring compliance with bookkeeping principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and categorize all incoming and outgoing financial transactions. • Process homeowner assessments and vendor invoices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements and generate financial reports.
• Assist with tax preparation, including issuing 1099s.
• Support year-end tasks, such as entering the next year’s budget and closing out the fiscal year.
• Ensure proper coding of all transactions to maintain financial accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of Sage is a plus).
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear and professional communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with association (accrual) accounting is a bonus.
