POSITION SUMMARY
The Billing Analyst reports directly to the Billing Lead and is responsible for using Excel and various systems to review, manipulate, transform, analyze, and interpret large data sets. This role requires advanced Excel proficiency, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer savvy, and capable of handling escalated projects in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process data from multiple billing files and transform data into entries for Workday or other database systems
- Verify accuracy of all processed billing data
- Compare and analyze billing data against rate charts to ensure accuracy
- Prepare billing calculations for special client programs
- Prepare and distribute monthly billing statements to clients
- Analyze large data sets and understand their relationship to accounting data and operational reports
- Review contracts and create detailed spreadsheets with a high volume of figures
- Update and maintain data across multiple systems
- Retrieve data from databases or electronic files upon request
- Update and maintain Excel formulas and macros as needed
- Assist with departmental process improvements and enhancements
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting required deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all data and documentation
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Complete special projects as assigned by the supervisor
