Immediate open position(s) available for an OFFICE / PERMITTING MANAGER with CIVILGEAR, LLC. The open position is responsible for leading and managing permitting / submittal duties for all engineering and planning projects. The manager is also responsible for oversight of the general office.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement strategic plans streamlining submittals of projects (i.e. new templates, checklists, client coordination, etc.) in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. Evaluate potential opportunities and provide recommendations for change.
· Project Management: Directly involved with working with project managers, note keeping, assisting, etc.
· Office Management: Work closely with CIVILGEAR management to assist with day-to-day operations, answer incoming calls, greet visitors / clients, prepare supply lists, order supplies, etc.
· Travel: There will be occasional local travel needed for project submittals or office supply pick-ups / purchases.
· Team Engagement: Work in a team environment of high-performing professionals involved in land development, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants.
· Abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. Follows all safety rules and makes use of appropriate safety equipment when necessary.
· Participates and attends staff meetings.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Requires a minimum of 10+ years of office management experience. 10+ years of experience in environmental and engineering permitting. Strong track record of successfully managing the permitting of projects. Knowledge of state and local regulations and codes (to assist with draft submittal reviews to avoid delays). Ability to work under pressure. Ability to coordinate numerous activities and groups of diverse people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiencies. Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Employee must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
