Position: Tax Manager
Location: Tampa, Florida
Compensation: $135,000 - $200,000 DOE
Bonus: Annual/Discretionary 15% + Employee Profit Sharing after one year

Responsibilities
- Manage tax planning and compliance for pass-through entities in industries such as construction, manufacturing, retail and professional services
- Research and analyze complex tax matters, interpret the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations, and prepare clear, well-supported written recommendations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing all aspects including billing and collections
- Represent the firm in the business community with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Lead, mentor and develop tax staff, fostering a culture of growth and accountability
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and standards are met
- Participate in firm initiatives and committees focused on improving client service, staff development and operational efficiency
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
- Review and sign off on complex tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide proactive recommendations to clients
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advising clients and internal teams on implications
- Assist in developing and implementing internal processes to improve efficiency and quality control
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., audit, advisory) to deliver integrated client solutions
- Support business development efforts by participating in networking events and contributing to proposals
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in public accounting and technical tax consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
- Active CPA license is a MUST
- Proven ability to manage multi shifting priorities while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws affecting pass-through entities
- Possess stellar communication skills with strong ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions
- Experience with tax planning strategies for individuals and closely held businesses
- Proven track record of leadership ability with experience supervising and mentoring staff
- Prior experience with partnership allocations, S Corp basis calculations and entity structuring
- Highly proficient with tax preparation and research software as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CCH ProSystems tax software, Engagement, and Document management tools
