JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE:
Drive the vision, mission and strategies of multiple businesses within the Florida portfolio. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing, implementing and leading the organizational people strategy, aligning all elements of the employee lifecycle (recruiting, training, payroll and performance management) to create performance-driven, client-centered and growth-oriented cultures. This role is the senior talent function leader, providing mentoring and development of the talent team and assuring all processes and employment compliance matters are clear and properly managed across the organizations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Direct, Develop and Lead Human Resources function and Employee Lifecyle initiatives:Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement a talent management strategy to achieve short- and long-term business goals. Drive employee performance and engagement through development and deployment of strategic employee initiatives.
Oversee Human Resources Administrative Operations:Manage and implement departmental budget. Plans, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, communication, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s compliance and strategy needs. Assure proper process and procedure documentation
ManageEmployee Relations:Provides guidance and solutions to compensation, benefits and performance processes to reward client-centered growth in accordance with each company’s policy. Coaches people, leaders and team members for effective problem resolution. Develop people leaders to effectively handle difficult conversations and to proactively manage employee relations. Implement strategic initiatives to elevate employee engagement and minimize employee disengagement.
Oversee compliance and mitigate risk: Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements and oversee the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of regulatory change in employment law and applies knowledge to policy and practice as needed. Works in collaboration with Legal and Senior Leadership to mitigate risk.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree equivalent experience
· 10+ years related work experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS software, pre-employment assessment tools, and other talent acquisition tools
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· In office environment with 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
· Business casual attire with closed toe footwear.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading
· Sitting stationery for long period of time
· Keyboarding: entering text and/or data into a computer
· Requires working with computer systems
· May require light lifting <25 lbs.
- Some travel will be required.
