Host – Job Description
The Host is responsible for delivering a composed, welcoming, and organized arrival experience for guests at SEIA across both the Restaurant and the Club. This role supports the front-door operation by managing greetings, reservations, and seating flow while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and alignment with SEIA’s service standards. The Host works closely with the Lead Host and FOH leadership to ensure a smooth and thoughtful guest journey from arrival through seating.
Your Responsibilities:
• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, setting the tone for the SEIA experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists accurately using OpenTable or Resy, providing clear and appropriate wait time quotes.
• Escort guests to tables with poise and awareness of pacing, flow, and guest comfort.
• Support seating flow and table assignments under the direction of the Lead Host and FOH leadership.
• Communicate clearly with the service team to ensure smooth guest transitions and aligned service flow.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and escalate concerns appropriately when needed.
• Communicate guest information such as VIP status, allergies, and special notes to the appropriate team members.
• Answer phones and manage guest inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the host stand, entrance, waiting areas, and menus.
• Ensure menus and guest-facing materials are clean, current, and properly stocked.
• Follow opening and closing procedures for the host stand as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a host or guest-facing role within a hospitality environment preferred.
• Familiarity with reservation platforms such as OpenTable or Resy.
• Strong communication skills with a calm, polished, and welcoming presence.
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced service setting.
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A genuine interest in hospitality and guest experience.
