At Continental Services Group, we supply life-changing materials that power diagnostic tools and research innovations used in hospitals and labs around the world. As our Assistant Controller, youll play a key role in keeping our financial engine runningand evolving.
Were looking for a highly organized, dependable professional with the curiosity and flexibility to learn our systems, then help improve them. Youll work closely with our Financial Controller on everything from daily transactions to specific financial projects that support cost control, operational or reporting efficiency, and long-term growth. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact not just within accounting, but in the supply chain of life sciences.
How Youll Make an Impact
- Ensure financial accuracy and control through regular bank reconciliations, purchase clearing, journal entries, and account maintenance
- Lead the creation and processing of invoices for domestic and international shipmentsincluding notarized or compliance documentation when needed
- Manage A/P and A/R functions: process vendor bills, ensure timely payments, follow up on receivables, and maintain clean records
- Prepare and organize payroll inputs, including PTO, overtime, and departmental hour reports
- Record payments, monitor cash flow, and contribute to cash planning and forecasting
- Maintain both digital and physical accounting files in line with internal controls and regulatory expectations
- Support inventory valuation and cost accounting alignment during month-end closings
- Assist with year-end physical inventory and audit preparation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, align invoice processing with inventory, and ensure transparency
- Participate in special projects to improve departmental tools, workflows, reporting, and system integration
Were Looking for Someone Who
- Has a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Brings 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or regulated industry preferred)
- Is a problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment
- Is comfortable with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools (Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
- Is known for their organization, dependability, and ability to manage recurring tasks with precision
- Has the initiative to propose improvements in reporting, control systems, or process flow
- Has excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally.
- Has a flexible and proactive approach to challenges and processes.
- Speaks fluent English; Spanish fluency is a plus
- Is willing to work 100% on-site in our Miami, FL headquarters
