Position Summary:
Position exists to provide support in processing and staging cargo for flights as well as ensuring the vehicles of those flying with MFI are stored, maintained and made available upon their return;
Primary Functions:
1. Responsible for accepting deliveries/unloading delivery trucks and interacting with carriers like USPS, UPS, FedX, Prime, etc., as well as those dropping off donations at the warehouse
2. Responsible for stacking deliveries on pallets and then processing cargo which includes weighing as well as opening all items to identify nature of contents
3. Responsible for entering cargo data information into MFI’s data system
4. Responsible for preparing shipping labels for every package to shipped
5. Responsible for organizing packages on pallets and using pallet jack to move them into the hangar for aircraft loading
6. Responsible for coordinating storage of missionary vehicles as well as ensuring these vehicles are available when owners return on MFI flights
Education/Skills/Knowledge Needed
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Good customer service skills
3. Competent computer skills, knowledge of using the internet for research purposes
4. Good trouble shooting and attention to detail skills
5. Familiarity with operating forklifts
6. Current driver’s license
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
1. Must be able to routinely lift and move up to 50 pounds
2. Be able to work standing up approximately 60% of the time
3. Ability to see and hear clearly, stoop, kneel, bend to perform job duties
4. Ability to operate machinery such as forklift, pallet jack
