POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate HR Generalist supports the full range of human resources functions for a fast-growing, multi-unit sports entertainment company. This role works closely with corporate leadership and field managers to ensure alignment in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations across both corporate and venue teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Responsible for corporate Human Resource management, strategic development and implementation
- Responsible for developing, implementing and administering policies and procedures with the Vice President of HR and Leadership
- Oversee and manage the employment and onboarding process, including recruiting, interviewing, new hire processing and orientation
- Oversee recruitment team in managing the applicant tracking system and process
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to employment practices and corporate guidelines
- Responsible for managing and directing responses to all EEO and unemployment claims.
- Work with Vice President of HR and Leadership to administer all aspects of employee benefit programs, including, but not limited to, health/dental, disability and life insurance plans and 401(k) enrollment
- Manage and oversee annual 401(k) plan compliance testing
- Develop and manage an ongoing company-wide internship program
- Provide oversight and management for all aspects of compensation and performance review structure
- Provide counsel to management and team members on various human resource matters including team member relations, discipline, compensation, benefits and policies.
- Work with Finance department to administer and manage a comprehensive Worker's compensation plan
- Oversee the development and ongoing implementation of team member and leadership development training programs
- Maintains quality Human Resources staff by hiring, training/orienting, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining as needed; maintains proper payroll records, timekeeping, and team member paperwork
- Continually assessing the competitiveness of best practices by researching relevant company comparisons in and outside of our industry
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of applicable laws by actively pursuing opportunities for personal and professional growth
- Establish and maintain an employee appreciation program that recognizes achievement, tenure and supports and encourages the employees on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis
- Establish companywide hiring, interviewing and discipline practices for the company in SOP format
- Train site GM's & leadership on hiring, interviewing and discipline practices and procedures within the company
- Work with Property Manager on safety protocols and procedures for all employees
- All other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in HR with at least 1 year in multi-unit or service industry environment
- Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and HRIS systems
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods
- Will be required to operate a computer
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
- Travel required up to 50% of the time
