Job DescriptionHiring an Ocean Import & Export coordinator for a freight forwarder in the Doral, FL area. Experience with Magaya or CargoWise is helpful. The Ocean Import and Export Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of international ocean shipments. This includes ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, communicating with clients, carriers, and customs brokers, and coordinating the flow of goods from origin to destination.
• Monday-Friday schedule 8:30am-5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
Ocean Import
Coordinate inbound ocean freight shipments from global origins.
Track and trace containers to ensure on-time delivery.
Prepare and review shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Communicate with customs brokers for clearance and delivery coordination.
Notify customers and internal stakeholders of shipment status and any delays.
Ocean Export
Arrange bookings with carriers and confirm vessel schedules.
Prepare export documentation including SED filings, Letters of Credit, and export declarations.
Ensure compliance with export regulations and Incoterms.
Coordinate container pick-up, stuffing, and drayage to port.
Follow up on proof of delivery and issue final documents to clients.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in international logistics or freight forwarding (import/export).
Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and international shipping practices.
Proficiency in logistics software (Cargowise, SAP, or similar systems).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Incoterms 2020.
Bilingual (English/Spanish is a must.
Experience working with FMC, AES, and ISF filings
