Immediate need for an Assistant Director of Finance with public accounting and hospitality experience to be responsible for general ledger accounting and month-end reporting. This includes preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, preparing journal entries for month-end closings and performing variance analysis and assisting with financial reviews.

Duties Include:
- Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations, monthly journal entries and complex journal entry schedules
- Review trial balance accounts and intercompany activity for reasonableness
- Assist VP of Finance with month-end closings, financial reviews and internal financial reporting controls
- Assist with the review and analysis of significant fluctuations between income statement and balance sheet account line items.
- Assist VP of Finance with the research and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Agree supporting schedules to master general ledger accounts and review trends for reasonableness
- Review and communicate monthly departmental reports with VP of Finance prior to release
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports and accounting schedules as required for analysis and review of general leger accounts
- Assist with the continuous improvement of updating accounting policies and procedures and streamlining the month-end close process

Requirements
- BBA in Accounting or Finance with 7-years plus of progressive accounting experience with promotion (Public accounting and/or hospitality experience and CPA are HUGE +++)
- Experience from the hospitality industry is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a MUST
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, debit/credit workflow, exceptionally strong analytical skills, and the ability to be attentive to details.
- Must demonstrate corporate professionalism and polish at all times
- Proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization, "Hands-on" style and detail-oriented approach to document preparation and/or review
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Good interpersonal and skills with a collaborative communication style
- Well organized, adept at managing peak workloads with an ability to meet deadlines
