Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 DOE Job Type: Direct-Hire, Full-time Schedule: Four days onsite, one remote day weekly

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established Florida law firm that is seeking a Litigation/Bankruptcy Docketing Specialist to support attorneys with deadline management, court-related scheduling, and accurate maintenance of calendaring information. This role requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced legal environment. The position is based onsite in downtown Fort Lauderdale, with one remote workday each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate deadlines and update schedules according to applicable court rules and procedural guidelines while utilizing specialized docketing software.
  • Monitor court dockets, gather relevant case information, and assist with retrieving filings using online research platforms including PACER and Westlaw.
  • Generate and distribute docket reports to ensure attorneys have timely visibility into upcoming events and obligations.
  • Provide general guidance on filing procedures, court expectations, and scheduling considerations.
  • Maintain accurate records and help ensure that all docketing activity follows internal standards for completeness and quality control.
  • Support attorneys handling both civil litigation and bankruptcy matters throughout the life cycle of a case.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent and tenured experience docketing/calendaring matters in federal and state courts, including both civil litigation and bankruptcy.
  • Proficiency with docketing systems.
  • Working knowledge of major court research tools such as PACER, Westlaw, and LexisNexis.
  • Strong understanding of procedural rules, deadlines, and court workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under time pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
