Job Title: Vice President - Construction – Low Voltage
Department: Operations / Construction
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / President

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Vice President - Construction – Low Voltage. This senior executive is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and execution of all low voltage construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with company and industry standards. The VP plays a critical role in business development, team leadership, safety compliance, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and oversee long-term development roadmaps for all properties.
- Lead, develop, and execute strategic initiatives for the low voltage construction division.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align construction goals with the overall business plan.
- Drive operational excellence, scalability, and innovation in service delivery.
Project Management
- Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of multiple low voltage projects.
- Lead phases of development: design, entitlements, budgeting, construction, close-out.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, code requirements, and safety regulations.
- Mitigate risk and troubleshoot issues to prevent project delays or cost overruns.
Team & Operations Management
- Direct and mentor project managers, estimators, foremen, and field technicians.
- Define performance metrics and establish accountability across teams.
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent within the division.
Key Metrics (KPIs)
- % of Projects Delivered On-Time and On-Budget.
- ROI on Development Projects.
- CapEx Forecast Accuracy.
- Time to Entitlement / Permit.
- Site Expansion Capacity Added (units or acres).
- Vendor Performance Ratings.
Financial Oversight
- Own and manage CapEx budgets across all properties.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability for construction projects.
- Approve bids and change orders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Client & Vendor Relations
- Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and project delivery.
- Serve as the primary executive contact for key customers and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other relevant codes and regulations.
- Champion a culture of safety and quality across all job sites.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in construction management with at least 8 years in low voltage systems (e.g., structured cabling, security, access control, internet service provider, and VoIP).
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems design, installation, and integration.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of construction contracts and law.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
