Schedule: 100% Onsite
Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 DOE
About the Role
A well-established automotive dealership group in Palm Beach Gardens is seeking an experienced Auto Accounting Manager to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This person will oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the dealership, ensure accuracy of financial reporting, manage a small accounting team, and maintain compliance with automotive industry standards. Prior automotive dealership accounting experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, billing, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes for the dealership.
- Review and post journal entries, schedules, and general ledger activity.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
- Monitor manufacturer receivables, warranties, incentives, and schedules.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and dealership financial standards.
- Support audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and support accounting staff; oversee workflow and training.
- Work closely with the GM, Controller, and department leaders on financial performance.
- Improve processes, streamline systems, and enhance reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Automotive dealership accounting experience is required (minimum 3-5 years).
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory accounting role in the auto industry.
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting schedules, financial statements, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies quickly.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
