POSITION SUMMARY:
This position requires a focused manager with strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers. This person must have experience in the jet engine MRO process and hands on knowledge of all the factors that affect the engine repair process. He or she must have proven ability to multi-task and have excellent problem-solving skills. Additionally, this person must be a self-starter and be self-directed with the ability to work well under time constraints while meeting customer commitments.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Interacting daily with scheduling, production, and the customer service and sales team to ensure accurate reporting to Customers.
- Reviewing purchase orders and contracts in detail to assure accuracy.
- Proposal writing and cost invoicing.
- Collecting data regarding man-hours, materials and repairs for invoicing.
- Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing the status of each engine under repair for multiple customers.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education:
- Associates degree in an Engineering, Science, or Aviation related discipline is preferred
Experience:
- This position requires three to five years’ experience in an aviation MRO environment, preferably engine MRO.
- Strong knowledge of CF6-80C2, CF6-80A and CF6-50 engines
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Quantum.
- Must have a strong knowledge of jet engine maintenance and parts.
- Must have good problem solving skills.
- Ability to understand and apply analytical and statistics tools.
- Results oriented with strong process and execution skills.
- Outstanding writing, presentation, and communication skills.
