With strong growth opportunities across the Caribbean region, UIG is seeking a motivated Sales Lead to expand our presence, build client relationships, and drive new project opportunities.
Role Overview
The Caribbean Sales Lead will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing opportunities for UIG’s storage tank systems across key markets in the Caribbean. Based in Florida, this role requires frequent travel to Caribbean islands to meet with engineering firms, government agencies, utilities, industrial clients, and contractors.
You’ll serve as the frontline business development resource, working closely with UIG leadership and technical teams to position our products, consult on project specifications, and support clients from initial design discussions through proposal and contract execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Lead Generation
- Research, identify, and pursue water, wastewater, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the Caribbean.
- Build strong relationships with engineering firms, contractors, developers, and utilities.
- Track tenders, RFQs, and project announcements through local networks.
- Client Engagement
- Travel regularly to meet with decision-makers and project stakeholders.
- Present UIG’s tank solutions, capabilities, and project references.
- Provide budget pricing, technical input, and specification support.
- Sales Process Management
- Coordinate closely with UIG headquarters on proposals and bids.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity in CRM.
- Help secure new project wins through consultative selling and relationship building.
- Regional Market Development
- Act as UIG’s face of the brand in the Caribbean.
- Attend regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Provide market intelligence to inform UIG’s strategy in the region.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience in water infrastructure, industrial equipment, tanks, pumps, or related construction/engineering solutions.
- Strong network in Caribbean water/wastewater utilities, government agencies, or EPC firms is a plus.
- Based in Florida (Miami/Fort Lauderdale preferred) or within reasonable flight distance to the Caribbean.
- Willingness to travel 40–50% for client meetings and site visits.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage engineering and technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently while reporting to U.S. leadership.
- Bilingual (Spanish/French) is highly desirable depending on target markets.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary ($75,000–$100,000 depending on experience).
- Commission/bonus on project wins tied to net material sales value.
