About the Role:
The General Maintenance / Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities by performing routine preventive maintenance. This position is responsible for operating forklifts safely to move materials and products within the facility, supporting various processes. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential mechanical issues and addressing them promptly to minimize downtime. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to drive a forklift to move pallets, trash, bins and products.
- Must have experience working as a Maintenance Laborer to handle general maintenance requests.
- Proven experience in general maintenance or mechanical repair, preferably within a warehouse environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA or relevant safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials, supplies, and products safely and efficiently within the facility.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs throughout the warehouse.
