Project Accountant needed for Commercial/Residential construction company in West Palm Beach. Mon - Fri 8am- 5pm in office

Key Responsibilities Construction Accountant
- Accounting: Maintain accurate records of all project-related transactions, AIA billings, Accounts Payable and Receivable. Process credit card, lien waivers, NTO's, subcontractor invoices. Prepare and manage monthly construction Draws, job costing and budget reporting. Cash flow projections. Support month-end and year-end processes.
- Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and submit invoices to clients, ensure timely collection of payments, and manage subcontractor payments.
- Coordination: Organize reporting, plan meetings and keep Project Managers up-to-date.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications for Construction Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in related field a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of CONSTRUCTION accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of contracts, agreements and lien waiver compliance
- Solid understanding of job costing, reconciliation and budget management
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Procore preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot, vlookup, sumif, etc)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
