JM Networking, LLC is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious global law firm for a full-time Associate (4–6 years of experience) to join the Corporate Practice, Mergers and Acquisitions group in either the Fort Lauderdale or Tampa office. About the Role
This team advises on high-profile domestic and international deals across sectors such as healthcare, technology, infrastructure, insurance, education, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and financial services. The firm’s global platform enables seamless, full-service counsel across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate core transaction documents, including letters of intent, asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and merger agreements
• Manage due diligence processes, including review of contracts, corporate records, and regulatory materials
• Collaborate with colleagues in tax, regulatory, finance, and litigation to address transaction-related issues
• Participate in client meetings and calls, offering strategic input and updates
• Support closing preparations, including drafting deliverables and ensuring post-closing obligations are fulfille
RequirementsQualifications
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Florida Bar or willingness to become admitted promptly
• 4–6 years of substantive M&A and general corporate experience at a national or regional law firm
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume practice
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cross-border transactions
• Familiarity with private equity deals
• Confidence in managing multiple transactions and working directly with clients
