Director, Energy Management, Building Automation Systems (BAS)
South Florida (Miami to West Palm Beach)
Full-time | Senior Leadership
$130K to 150K Base + Commission + Bonus + Full Benefits (Total 200K to 300K)
Lead one of the most strategic regions for an established and continuing to grow fast, smart building integrator.
- NOTE: 2020 People has been hired as Corporate Recruiting.
- Must have prior BAS retrofit experience with Niagara / Tridium etc.
Projects span high-end hotels, arenas, schools, and country clubs—and growing fast.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of BAS (Building Automation System) field technicians and service staff
- Oversee retrofit and service project execution across the South Florida corridor
- Serve as the main point of contact for top-tier clients—hotels, real estate groups, contractors
- Ensure project delivery meets budget, quality, and timeline standards
- Collaborate with leadership and sales to prepare proposals and close new opportunities
- Monitor P&L performance and implement improvements to ensure profitabilit
✅ What You Bring to The Table
- 7–10+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC Controls, or Energy Management
- Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, HVAC/R required, ability to step in and train or repair as needed.
- Track record managing field teams and executing retrofit/service projects
- Strong technical knowledge of (Building Automation Systems) BAS platforms (Tridium, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Reliable BACnet, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills
- Located in or willing to relocate to South Florida (Miami–West Palm Beach corridor)
- Willing to travel regionally to client sites and project locations
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000 to $150.000 plus Bonus, Commission for Total 250K to 300K
- Commission: Performance-based on retrofit and service project revenue
- Bonus: Annual performance bonus tied to regional KPIs and profitability
