Job Description: Bus Driver (Sports Trips, Field Trips)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Part-Time)
Department: Facilities
Reports to: Transportation Manager
Position Commences: August 2025
Summary Description
The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from sports and field trips. Ensuring vehicle operation is in a safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. While maintaining order and enforcing safety regulations on the bus. The position requires a positive attitude, punctuality and dependability are mandatory characteristics of the position. Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to work both individually and in group settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe pick up and drop off of K -12 students in 2 -3 designated parking locations.
- No highway, street or traffic loading/unloading points.
- CDL Class A, B or C with passenger and school bus endorsement (passenger endorsement only OK). The school is willing to help obtain a CDL for the right candidate and commitment.
- Current DOT medical card. School pays for medical exam & renewal every other year as required.
- First aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain (provided by the School).
- And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Technical Skills
● Basic mathematical skill.
● General mechanical aptitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods standing or sitting.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
