Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and deliver products to customer job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
- Secure cargo using ropes, chains, and covers, and load/unload products as necessary.
- Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions, routes, and obtain customer signatures for delivered goods.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness of the truck's interior.
- Read and interpret maps to determine optimal routes for deliveries.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- 1-2 years of truck driving experience; 18-24 months preferred.
- Completion of a professional truck driving school.
Skills:
- Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent time management and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; moderate noise and temperature levels; good vision and hearing required.
