PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Events and Corporate Partnerships Coordinator support revenue generation through the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of corporate partnerships, events and community relationships. This role focuses on securing financial and in-kind support, strengthening corporate engagement, and executing fundraising and stewardship events that advance Covenant House Florida’s mission.

This position plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, sponsors, and community partners, while ensuring the successful implementation of events and partnership initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Covenant House Florida reserves the right to unilaterally modify, remove, or add to any of the following:

Corporate/Event Sponsorship & Revenue Generation

  • Lead the execution of corporate fundraising initiatives which include, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors for fundraising events and organizational initiatives.
  • Secure financial event sponsorships, in-kind contributions, corporate matching gifts, and employee engagement opportunities.
  • Manage a portfolio of new and existing corporate partners to meet assigned annual revenue goals.
  • Develop a customized stewardship plan for corporate and event supporters. Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of sponsor benefits and recognition.

Community & Corporate Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, corporations, and community stakeholders resulting in financial support.
  • Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and corporate meetings to increase visibility and support.
  • Assist in cultivating long-term partnerships that result in sustained financial and volunteer engagement.
  • Coordinate corporate volunteer opportunities in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Work closely with the Program team to develop opportunities that benefit our young people and secure support for those initiatives (holiday celebrations, education celebrations, special activities)

Event Management & Execution

  • Coordinate with the Chief Development Officer the planning and execution of assigned fundraising and stewardship events (e.g., Sleep Out, Cocktail for a Cause).
  • Manage event logistics including vendor coordination, volunteer support, timelines, and run-of-show execution.
  • Support sponsor engagement before, during, and after events to ensure a positive partner experience.

Planning, Reporting & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and Development team to implement established fundraising plans and initiatives.
  • Track sponsorship commitments, event revenue, and partner engagement using designated systems.
  • Prepare reports on sponsorship revenue, event outcomes, and partner activity for departmental review.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure sponsor recognition and deliverables are executed as approved.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’ in nonprofit management, events/planning, communications or a related field preferred

EXPERIENCE

Five years of progressive event management experience, with a proven track record of securing sponsorships and support. Three years of corporate and community partnership experience. SCHEDULE

This position is typically scheduled Monday-Friday for an 8-hour shift per day. However, there may be occasional times when shifts may take place outside of regular Monday-Friday business hours for events or meetings. This is not a remote based position.

Must be able to utilize and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook, grant management systems, donor base management systems, and internet-based software

TRANSPORTATION

Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and vehicle insurance with an acceptable driving record. This position requires the incumbent to travel occasionally to donor meetings, training and community events/meetings.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work occasionally in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to work standing, walking, and/or sitting a minimum of 8 hours per day/shift. Some weekend/holiday work may be required. Ability to drive agency or personal vehicles to transport items and/or persons. Ability to travel as needed for training, donor meetings or to fulfill job requirements.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.

EQUIPMENT USED

Must be proficient in usage of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Office Suite, and internet-based software. Experience with grants management systems and donor data software preferred. Candidate will be trained on Every Action
